Artist notes: this is a painting about a little black dog and the importance of believing in your dreams. We used to go for walks amidst the wild arum lilies. He kept his nose to the ground. I kept my eyes to the  skies. I spent a lot of time mixing a deep African-sky blue for this. I miss that colour.
