The big art fair drop off

Jeanne-Louise wears a bright orange coat and is crouched next to an A-frame sign for the Reading Charity Art Fair artist registration. The photo is taken outside on the path leading up to the exhibition venue.

Today's lunch break was more exciting than usual as I nipped around the University campus to Leighton Park School to complete artists' registration and drop off my four entries for this year's Reading Charity Art Fair (more info on their website). Thank you to all the Reading Maiden Erlegh Rotary members who were busy setting up and gave me a warm welcome.

This year's exhibition preview and canapés is tomorrow night (Friday) and the exhibition will be open to the public on both Saturday (10–5) and Sunday (10–4)

This year's art fair is raising funds for the new Royal Berkshire Hospital Staff Wellness Centre. I'm thrilled to be of 88 artists taking part in this year's event.

I've selected four paintings for the exhibition – each demonstrating my love of texture and mark-making albeit varied in colour and subject. You can read more about those here. All four paintings have been professionally framed (thank you Keeley's) in an off-white boxframe.

I hope to see some of you there! I'm looking forward to sampling some of the homemade cakes at the exhibition Art Café too. If you live too far away to join, keep an eye on my instagram and blog posts for some highlights from the event.
