Artist notes: In spring, I was commissioned to create a sunflower ballerina as a gift for a ballet lover. I created two versions adapted from some ballettoons flower tutu sketches I had created a few years previously. Sometimes the toons really do grow up to become paintings (although it works the other way round too).

This ballerina flower tutu is painted on excellent quality Ampersand art panel. Robust and light.
